A 26-year-old Springfield, Mo. woman suffered minor injuries and was later arrested for driving while intoxicated, amongst other charges, following a one-vehicle crash Friday night in Morgan County.

A 26-year-old Springfield, Mo. woman suffered minor injuries and was later arrested for driving while intoxicated, amongst other charges, following a one-vehicle crash Friday night in Morgan County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash and arrest reports, Cynthia R. Way was driving a 2003 Acura southbound at approximately 10:13 p.m. on August 11, 2017 on Old W Road, roughly .1-mile north of Route W when the crash occurred. 

"Vehicle travelled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned," the report stated. 

Way, listed without a safety device, was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. 

At approximately 10:48 p.m. Way was placed under arrest and charged with DWI - first, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, and no seat belt. She was released at the scene to medical personnel.
