Rev. Hughes brings a wealth of skills to St. George with her rare blend of talents in pastors care and her expertise in software development and design.

St. George Episcopal Church welcomes the Rev. Laura Hughes as their new rector on Aug. 1, 2017. Rev. Hughes received her pastoral studies degree from the Bishop Kemper School for Ministry in Topeka, Kan. and her undergraduate degree in economics from California State University, San Jose, Calif.

Rev. Hughes brings a wealth of skills to St. George with her rare blend of talents in pastors care and her expertise in software development and design. In a society with an aging population and a younger generation that is very much aware of the new technologies available she will be in a unique position to address the needs of both segments of the Lake area residents.

“Mother Laura will offer to St. George a vision of the future, extraordinary energy, and the viewpoint that opportunities for growth in the Lake area are endless,” said Senior Warden Mike McDonnell.

The church is excited that Rev. Hughes has chosen to lead them in meeting the mission of St. George: “To seek to grow every day in the truth an love of Our Lord Jesus Christ through Worship, Healing, Care, Outreach and Evangelism.”

St. George Episcopal Church is located 423 N. Business Route 5, Camdenton.
