Two men from Eldon, both passengers, were transported by EMS to Lake Regional following a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Camden County that resulted in a DWI arrest for the Osage Beach driver.

Two men from Eldon, both passengers, were transported by EMS to Lake Regional following a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Camden County that resulted in a DWI arrest for the Osage Beach driver, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash and arrest reports. 

Austin L. Apperson, 21, and Cody A. Winters, 22, were traveling as occupants in a 2014 Ford F350 being driven southbound by 30-year-old Nicholas J. Cox, of Osage Beach, at approximately 12:54 a.m. on July 30, 2017 on Bittersweet Road at Anemone Road.  

Both Apperson and Winters were listed with minor injuries, without safety devices, and transported for medical treatment. Cox, listed as wearing a safety device, was not listed with any injuries. 

At approximately 2:07 a.m., Cox was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated - alcohol serious physical injury x2 and failure to maintain right half of roadway resulting in an accident. Cox was being held at the Camden County Jail on a 24-hour hold. 

The vehicle was listed as totaled.
