A 76-year-old Sunrise Beach woman suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital following a wake incident late Friday morning at the 4-mile marker of the Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks.

A 76-year-old Sunrise Beach woman suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital following a wake incident late Friday morning at the 4-mile marker of the Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Marine Division boating incident report, Doris C. Cahill was riding as an occupant in a 1997 Bayliner being piloted eastbound at approximately 11:30 a.m. on July 28, 2017 by Donald L. Putnam, 67, also of Sunrise Beach, when the incident occurred. 

"Occurred as vessel struck a large wake. Passenger became airborne, came down and struck the seat of a vessel," the report stated. 

Putnam was not listed with any injuries. Both involved were listed without safety devices. There was no reported damage to the vessel which was driven from the scene.
