Joel Clark Ballenger, Cody M. Booth, Scotty L. Ware, Charles D. Manton, Darrell Lowe, Christopher M.L. Cady, Joshua D. Edge, Ira K. Fox, Tyler C. Nason, Calen R. Mummert, William R. Hill and Elizabeth Komrska were among those receiving terms of imprisonment.

Twelve offenders were sentenced in Morgan County Circuit Court action July 2017, according to a press release from the Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. These cases were prosecuted by Morgan County P.A. Dustin G. Dunklee and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Douglas Kinde and Derik Kinde, through the efforts of Dunklee’s staff members and the professional investigations of all law enforcement agencies involved.

1. Joel Clark Ballenger – Sentenced to 20 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections (DOC) for the Class B Felony of Distribution of a Controlled Substance (3 counts), 20 years concurrent for the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 20 years concurrent for the Class C Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Jail; all counts to be served under RSMo 217.362 with preference for the one (1) year Long Term Drug Treatment Program in the Department of Corrections.

2. Cody M. Booth – Sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections (DOC) for the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 7 years concurrent in DOC for the Class C Felony of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

3. Scotty L. Ware - Sentenced to 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections (DOC) for the Class A Felony of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance.

4. Charles D. Manton – Sentenced to 8 years in DOC for the Class B Felony of Child Molestation 1st Degree.

5. Darrell Lowe – Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for two counts of the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the 120 day Institutional Treatment Center.

6. Christopher M.L. Cady – Sentenced to 6 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Burglary 2nd Degree (2 counts) and 4 years in DOC concurrent for the Class D Felony of Possession of Burglary Tools.

7. Joshua D. Edge – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 217.362 with preference for the one (1) year Long Term Drug Treatment Program in the Department of Corrections.

8. Ira K. Fox – Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Resisting Arrest and 7 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

9. Tyler C. Nason – Sentenced to 8 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Stealing under RSMo 559.115 with preference for Institutional Treatment Center.

10. Calen R. Mummert - Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and 7 years consecutive (total of 14 years) for the Class D Felony of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the Institutional Treatment Center. Mr. Mummert was also being held on a federal hold as this violated his federal probation. Once he serves his state sentence he will be returned to federal prison to serve out his remaining federal sentence.

11. William R. Hill – Sentenced to 8 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Domestic Assault 2nd degree and 7 years in DOC for the Class E Felony of unlawful use of a Weapon; all counts to be served under RSMo 217.362 with preference for the one year Long Term Drug Treatment Program in the Department of Corrections.

12. Elizabeth Komrska – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for three counts of the Class C Felony of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and 10 years for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the Institutional Treatment Center. Mrs. Komrska was also sentenced in a prior probation case to seven years in DOC for three counts of the Class C Felony of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and seven years for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the Institutional Treatment Center.
