According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Hix was ejected from the pickup.

An Osage Beach man was airlifted to treatment Sunday night after a one-vehicle crash on Pier Thirty One Road north of Camdenton.

Joshua R. Hix, 35, suffered serious injuries as the 1989 Ford F250 went off the left side of the road and overturned. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, he was ejected from the pickup. 

The accident occurred around 11:12 p.m. July 23 on Pier Thirty One south of Possum Ridge.

The crash report indicated Hix was not wearing a seatbelt. 

The pickup had damage described as extensive.

Hix was arrested by the Highway Patrol at 11:41 p.m. for driving while intoxicated - felony aggravated offender, second or subsequent offense for driving while revoked, no seatbelt, failure to display valid plates and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was released for medical care.
