A Marshall woman was killed while three others were transported for serious injuries from the scene of a two-vehicle crash Saturday night on US-54 in Miller County.

A Marshall woman was killed while three others were transported for serious injuries from the scene of a two-vehicle crash Saturday night on US-54 in Miller County. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Grace Helgenberger, 46, of Marshall*, was a passenger in a 2004 Chevrolet Impala being driven westbound by 50-year-old Donald E. Talbott, also of Marshall*, at approximately 7:44 p.m. on July 15, 2017 at US-54 at Route W, when the vehicle crossed into the path of a 2005 Cadillac Escalade being driven eastbound. 

Talbott was arrested at approximately 8:42 p.m., charged with Driving While Intoxicated involving death of another, failure to yield, and no seat belt. He was released under hospital treatment. 

The Escalade was being driven by Bobby J. Albertson, 71, along with passenger Donna Albertson, 68, both of Eldon. 

Helgenberger was pronounced deceased at the scene by Deputy Sedgwick at 8:00 p.m., according to the report. She was taken to Millard Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. 

Talbott, the only of the four involved not wearing a safety device, was transported by Staff For Life to University Hospital. Both Bobby and Donna Albertson were transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. Both vehicles were listed with extensive damage. 

This was Troop F's 2nd fatality for July and the 31st for 2017.
