Deputies were dispatched to Big Buffalo Road, south of Stover, on July 9 after a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival in the area, a deputy located the vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway. The vehicle was running, according to the press release, and a female was inside asleep.

A Kansas City, Kan. woman is facing felony and misdemeanor drug charges in Morgan County after a deputy reportedly found her asleep in a running car parked in the middle of a roadway.

According to a press release from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Jessica Weaver has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance, Class C felony; possession of a controlled substance, Class D felony; possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana, Class D misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, Class D misdemeanor. Bond has been set at $100,000, 10 percent cash or surety.

Deputies were able to wake the driver, who was identified as Weaver. She later granted consent to search the vehicle, the press release states.

Approximately 16.5 grams of methamphetamine, less than 10 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and various-sized plastic bags were reportedly seized in the search. Weaver was placed under arrest.
