On Thursday, July 13, from 5:30-8 p.m., the Osage Beach Police Department, Outback Steakhouse and Special Olympics Missouri invites the public to join them at 3930 Osage Beach Parkway for a hearty meal in a fun, family friendly atmosphere while at the same time helping our amazing Special Olympics athletes.

Off-duty officers and volunteers will be serving as wait staff with 100 percent of their tips going to Special Olympics Missouri. Envelopes will be provided for the tips.

Tip-A-Cop is just one of the ways officers show their support and try to raise awareness and donations for the 15,312 Special Olympics athletes in Missouri. The Osage Beach Police Department will be one of those agencies participating.

Special Olympics Missouri’s mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
