Two people, an Oak Grove woman and a Bettendorf, Iowa man suffered injuries in two separate crashes in Morgan and Camden County Sunday that later resulted in DWI charges, amongst others, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash and arrest reports.

Two people, an Oak Grove woman and a Bettendorf, Iowa man suffered injuries in two separate crashes in Morgan and Camden County Sunday that later resulted in DWI charges, amongst others, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash and arrest reports. 

Ashley Pazo-Rodriguez, 31, of Oak Grove, was traveling westbound on Coffman Beach Road, roughly 0.2 miles west of Route Y in Morgan County at approximately 2:00 a.m. on July 2, 2017 in a 2013 Kia Sorento when the one-vehicle crash occurred. According to the report, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, down an embankment and struck a ditch. 

Pazo-Rodriguez, listed with minor injuries and wearing a safety device, was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. At approximately 4:39 a.m. she was arrested, released under the carer of Lake Regional and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Careless and Imprudent Driving Resulting in a Motor Vehicle Crash. 

UTV Crash

Andrew J. Copeland, 21, of Bettendorf, Iowa was driving a 2014 Polaris Razor 900 UTV westbound on Great Lake View Drive, roughly four miles south of Laurie in Camden County, at approximately 8:55 p.m. on July 2, 2017 when the single-vehicle crash occurred. 

According to the report, the crash occurred as the vehicle "was traveling at a high rate of speed, ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned several times ejecting the driver." 

Copeland, listed with moderate injuries and without a safety belt, was transported to Lake Regional Hospital. At approximately 10:10 p.m. He was arrested, released under the care of Lake Regional and charged with DWI, Careless and Imprudent UTV Operation, and No UTV Safety Belt.
