The Miller County Sheriff's Office is investigating complaints around the Eldon area of an asphalt company allegedly scamming victims, including the Eldon VFW Post, according to a Facebook post by the department.

According to the scam alert, an employee will come to a home or business, saying that they have finished a job nearby and has extra material and want to fix your drive at a discounted rate. When they finish the work, the bill has been for several thousand dollars.

The Sheriff's Office is currently investigating complaints around the Eldon area of an asphalt company scamming victims.

Pictures provided are photographs of some of the employees and equipment used, according to the department.

The employee going door to door is described as a white male in his mid to late-20's driving a newer style white Dodge Ram 1500 truck with no visible license plates and an amber light at on the cab.
