According to a press release from the Miller County Sheriff's Office, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 52 in Tuscumbia for a traffic violation in the late evening hours of May 5. During the course of the stop, it was determined that the driver - identified as Grant S. Tellman of Belle - had multiple warrants for his arrest out of Osage and Franklin counties.

A “large amount” of methamphetamine and cash along with other items used in the distribution of drugs were seized and a Belle, Mo. man was arrested as a result of a traffic stop in Tuscumbia Friday night.

According to a press release from the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 52 in Tuscumbia for a traffic violation in the late evening hours of May 5. During the course of the stop, it was determined that the driver - identified as Grant S. Tellman of Belle - had multiple warrants for his arrest out of Osage and Franklin counties. Dispatched to the scene, the sheriff's office K-9 team alerted on the presence of narcotics and a search of the vehicle was conducted.

Deputies located a large amount of meth and cash along with other items used in the distribution of drugs, the press release stated. Tellman was arrested and taken to the Miller County Adult Detention Center. He was subsequently charged with distribution of a controlled substance and is currently being held on a $50,000 bond.
