An 18-year-old Gravois Mills teen suffered minor injuries after striking another vehicle and overturning Thursday morning on MO-5 in Morgan County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

An 18-year-old Gravois Mills teen suffered minor injuries after striking another vehicle and overturning Thursday morning on MO-5 in Morgan County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. 

Tristen S. Newman was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer northbound on MO-5, roughly .6 miles north of Melford Lane at approximately 7:20 a.m. on April 13, 2017 when the crash occurred. 

According to the report, the vehicle travelled off the right side of the road and overcorrected before entering the southbound lane, striking a 2015 Chevy Impala being driven by 27-year-old Chelsea D. Hacker of Versailles. 

After striking the Impala, the Explorer travelled off the left side of the road, struck a fence and overturned. 

According to the report, Newman was transported by Lake West Ambulance to Lake Regional after initially refusing EMS. Hacker was not listed as injured. 

Both drivers were listed as wearing seat belts.
