The Camdenton United Methodist Chancel Choir will present “The Living Last Supper” on Maundy Thursday, April 13. Maundy Thursday is part of the Lenten journey to the glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday. Maundy is derived from the Latin word for “command”. Jesus gave a command to the disciples at the Last Supper that they should love and serve one another. The music in “The Living Last Supper” captures the passion of the event and the disciples express their innermost thoughts that portray their astonishment at Jesus’ assertion that one of them will betray Him that fateful night. The Passover Supper with His disciples known as the Last Supper is rich with beauty and symbolism. Please make plans to attend this moving portrayal of one of Christianity’s most significant events. The service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Camdenton United Methodist Church is located on Highway 54 West. We hope you will join us for this dramatic presentation.
