The 7th and 8th grade students were not only able to demonstrate how the card/domino holder works, they also engaged in conversation and enjoyed having a donuts with Lake Parke residents and visitors at the senior center.

Camdenton Middle School students got a true hands-on lesson in giving with a special project they made just for local senior citizens.

The Camdenton Middle School Industrial Technology Class, under the direction of Bob Cizeck, visited Lake Parke Senior Living Center and the Camdenton Senior Center recently and presented a project designed for the residents’ enjoyment.  For weeks, students created card/domino wooden holders for the special friends at the centers.

Seniors were delighted to see the room fill with young adults and their hand-made project. The 7th and 8th grade students were not only able to demonstrate how the card/domino holder works, they also engaged in conversation and enjoyed having a donuts with Lake Parke residents and visitors at the senior center.

A lesson in giving, yes, and also in receiving.
