Recently featured in a quilting magazine for a throw design she calls Dusky Meadows, 81-year-old Gloria Krumsiek is a member of the quilting guild Draggin’ Threads which meets at Laurie Bank, the guild in her hometown of Marshall, Mo. and the Missouri State Quilters Guild. She has been quilting for 50 years.
Krumsiek also knits, first learning this skill at the age of 15. Now, she can knock out baby caps for Lake Regional Hospital in no flat and has donated 105 caps in the last six months.
See the June 24 edition of the WestSide Star for more on talented senior Gloria Krumsiek.
