Ellory and Cheryl Sharp as being selected the recipients of the Lake Bloomers July Garden of the Month. They formerly lived in St. Louis and retired to the Lake of the Ozarks seven years ago.

The Sharps are fortunate to have huge natural rock on the lake side of their home and have planted the flower garden around these limestone ledges. Within the area are four waterfalls of different sizes. It truly adds a restful ambiance to what they have created here!

Both are very fond of perennials and wildflowers and have a great variety of both. With the help of huge hostas they have designed a bright, colorful garden.

Cheryl admits to loving being outside in the garden- pulling weeds, deadheading and transplanting plants.

Both are avid about their garden and very proud of what they have created together.

Cheryl tells me her husband, Ellory, already has plans for additional garden space. I can’t wait to see what they will come up with next!

The Lake Bloomers, FGCM, meets the second Wednesday of the month from March to December. We welcome all visitors to our meetings. For more information, contact plogue2@gmail.com or call 573-434-0183.
