• Submit an event notice
Event notices can be submitted by email to newsroom@lakesunonline.com or by using our online calendar.
Please include as much information as possible about your upcoming event, including:
Event title, with short description about the event
Date
Time
Cost
Location
Contact name and phone number
If possible, please include a digital photo from a past event.
To submit an event using the online calendar, click here. Users will have to register a username and password. The online calendar asks for all the necessary information and makes it easy to submit repeated events, such as meetings.
Events submitted via the online calendar will be published after it is reviewed by an editor.
• Post an event to the online calendar
After you login, click "Add Event" (in the black bar above the search events feature).
Boxes in red are required, however, fill in as many fields as possible including:
Event title
Start Date
Start Time
Ticket Price
Website (of the event)
Phone (for the contact person)
Email (for the contact person)
Description (short description of the event)
On the right hand, click on the best category (or categories) that best describes your event. Click on the "+" to expand categories.
Note: At least one category must be selected.
Search for the name of the venue. If the correct location isn't found, please click on "add".
To add a venue

Name
Address (exact address please)
City
State
Zip Code
Phone (of the venue)
Website (of the venue)
Click "Submit Event"
• Submit an announcement
Engagement, Wedding, Birth and Anniversary announcements can all be submitted to us through email or through one of our online forms. For our online forms, click here.
To submit by email, please send the announcement to newsroom@lakesunonline.com with appropriate announcement title in the subject line.
For announcements, please include the following information:
Name
Hometown
Date (of birth, wedding, etc)
Please also include a digital photo.
• Submit an obituary
The cost of running a full obituary, including photo, in our publications is $40. To print in multiple publications, it is $10 for each additional publication.
Obituaries can be emailed to newsroom@lakesunonline.com. Please put "Obituary" and name of person in the subject line.
The deadline to submit obituaries to publish in the Lake Sun is 4 p.m. each day. Obituaries will publish as soon as possible depending on page space.

• Submit a letter to the Editor
Just like comments on stories, we welcome letters to the editor to be published on our Opinion page.
Letters need to be concise and timely. They can be submitted via email to newsroom@lakesunonline.com.
Please include a name, hometown and phone number for verification. Letters will not be published without first being verified.
We reserve the right to edit letters for minor grammar and punctuation.

• Comment on a story
We enjoy your feedback and comments on our stories that are published to the web. However, users must first register a username through a verified email account.
We also ask registered users to follow our "Pool Rules".
