This bar and restaurant imported its chef straight from New Orleans to design a one-of-a-kind menu just for Lake of the Ozarks.
Visitors’ taste buds will light on fire over a menu loaded with blackened shrimp, Cajun spices, authentic crab cakes, gumbo and jambalaya. Cajun corn muffins and red beans and rice are two of the most requested signature side dishes.
Big City Wrappers and a wide selection of sandwiches are also included on the menu for those big city folks who need a lighter touch.
For visitors who need to cool down flamin’ tastebuds, the Bourbon Street Pecan Pie next to the outdoor fireplace will do the trick.
The restaurant features live blues, jazz or three-piece bands most weekend nights.
Parking is available by boat and land. The restaurant recommends keeping the pets at home, but welcomes visitors who bring their kids.
If you’re a frequent guest, sign up for the restaurant’s frequent diner club. Diners will get 10 percent back each time they visit.
Most requested food: Crab cakes rolled in seasoned breadcrumbs and topped with shrimp in a seafood sauce.
Favorite beverage: Shorty Pants is known for their freshly muddled Mojitos made with a blend of several things including lime, mint, club soda and Bacardi.
Menu price: Runs from $7.99 to a market price surf and turf special and everything in between. Sandwiches run about $10 and entrees average $17.

Where: The restaurant is located on the 21.5-mile-marker on the main channel or off Route KK (just follow the road signs).
