Motorcycle enthusiasts from all over will be rumbling their way to the Lake Sept. 17 through 20 for the 3rd annual Lake of the Ozarks BikeFest.
The festival activities will range from organized rides to free concerts and is sure to bring thousands to our area. Here's what you need to know about this year's event:
The line that draws the separation between water and land is a little blurry at Paradise Tropical Restaurant and Bar in Sunrise Beach, but that’s how the owners say they want it.
Located on the Big Niangua Arm, Gator's Bar and Grill knows how to draw in a crowd to the quieter part of the lake.
At the Halfway Inn Bar and Grill, many patrons come for a specific reason. For only at this lake hot spot can one earn the right of having said they, “shot the minnow.”
The Jungs opened Jolly Rogers in 2008 after months of planning, construction and hard work. All that went to the bottom when a late-night fire burned the restaurant to the ground. Now, the pirate-themed restaurant is larger than before; there are more boat slips and the gift shop has been expanded.
At stake are the bragging rights. That’s what’s it’s been about for the last 19 years at the Lake Shootout as professionals and amateurs compete against each other and the clock for the Top Gun honor.
The place is for what people come to the lake to do.
“It’s about getting away from the job and letting loose. Not going crazy, just having fun,” owner Karen Degenhardt says. Karen and her husband John have owned the Fish and Company for 11 years.
Take some bamboo, throw in one of the widest varieties of beverages, mix in entrees and appetizers and what do you get? It’s Bambooze, one of the lake’s most popular waterfront bar and grills.
LAKE OF THE OZARKS - Searching for a lakefront place to hang out and enjoy the water, great food, cold drinks and entertainment? Head to Captain’s Galley for a taste of the tropics. Enjoy the floating tiki bar and lounge, relax and enjoy.
Stop by Casablanca’s on the Bagnell Dam Strip for a drink and you may find yourself staying all day. The locals know Casablanca’s as the neighborhood bar where friends and conversation is always in good supply. And happy hour specials every weekday keep them coming back for more.
