Camdenton
Habitat dedicates two homes
Lake of the Ozarks Habitat for Humanity will dedicate homes Nos. 9 and 10 for the Hafley and Rideout families at 11 a.m. Saturday. The ceremony will be held at the homes on North Ozark Drive. Habitat invites the public to attend the dedication ceremony. To get there from the Camdenton Square, go west on Hwy. 54 to Lakeview Drive, turn right onto Lakeview Drive, turn right onto North Ozark to homes on the right. Refreshments will be served.

Osage Beach
Japanese drum concert
The St. Louis Osuwa Taiko Drum Ensemble at School of the Osage at 7 p.m. Saturday. The unusual program is educational and entertaining. There will be an opportunity after the performance to visit with drummers and strike a Taiko drum. Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for students. For more information contact 964-6366. See Page B1

Fall and Christmas craft show
Fall Craft Show at Laurie Terrace Mall from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fall crafts, Christmas wreaths, ornaments and gifts, decorated sweatshirts, hand-woven rugs, floral arrangements, wood items, yard decorations, jewelry, angels, quilts, chimes, sports, cosmetics, stepping stones.  Free parking, free admission and door prizes. Toys For Kids bowling tourney
Dewey’s Toys for Kids is hosting a bowling tournament  at Eagle Lanes on Rt. 42. Entry fee is $20 per person. You can have as many as seven bowlers on a team. Prizes awarded. Climax springs/Camdenton
Chili cookoff/supper & concert
• The Northwest Fire Protection District will host its 2nd Annual Fire Fighters Chili Cook-off,  Sunday, Nov. 8 from noon-3 p.m. at Station1 on Route 7 in Climax Springs.  Cost is $6, all proceeds go to firefighters needs.   The 7-13 Firebirds, a NWFPD  auxiliarly, is hosting the event. 573-345-3765.
• The Lake of the Ozarks Federation of Democratic Women will hold a chili supper and silent auction Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at Camelot Yacht Club. Dinner costs $8 each or $15 for two. Children under age 10 are free.
• VFW Post 3600 will host a benefit fundraiser featuring music and dinner for the Born Again Clothes non-profit help center in Climax Springs. The event will take place at the Post on Route 7 on Nov. 7 from 5 p.m.-?
