Several years ago, developers announced plans to extend the Horseshoe Bend Parkway past its current point (on Bagnell Dam Boulevard) to connect with the expressway Missouri Department of Transportation officials were building. The new road would open up hundreds of forested acres of land previously land-locked for commercial and residential development.
Three years later, with a crashed construction economy, the developers have done little.
