The first boxes of the H1N1 vaccine started arriving in the state for distribution. Health care workers are the first to be vaccinated followed by pregnant women and children under the age of 2. Both groups have been identified as high risk of contracting the H1N1 virus. Persons with compromised immune systems or those who take care of small children have also been targeted as high risk.
The vaccine is available in a nasal spray and in an injectable version.
