Well, they did it. The ACLU is now rearing its ugly head in our little hometown. We thought this little hamlet was safe from those outside influences of the big cities. The Lake Area Conservative Club said several months ago that if we don't start getting proactive on all political levels and reverse this assault on our moral compass, our kids and country will pay the price, both fiscally and morally. We have to protect our kids from this gross invasion of our privacy into how we raise our children and what they should have access to, even in the schools.
1st Amendment you say? This is nothing more than an assault on parental rights. What will you do? when will you get involved to stop this?
The Alliance Defense Fund, an organization who represents victims of the ACLU's abuses sent our superintendent a letter dated August 8, offering to assist the Camdenton R-III School District in this matter.
The administration thanked ADF for its offer and is working with its attorney at this time, declining ADF's offer.
We expect the Camdenton R-III School Board and it's administration to keep the public apprised at all levels of what their intended purpose is in fighting this injustice. Be assured we are watching and expect them to fight this and not compromise.
The Alliance Defense Fund has been involved in this matter with other affected school systems nationwide over the ACLU filtering complaints.
They work in most, if not all cases pro bono, and we hope the school system considers this as an option. We hope and expect the administration and school board fights this whether it is over a particular filtering system, or specific websites.
This is not a political fight, but a moral one where the hope is this community will stand strong, as one community, one voice to tell the ACLU to butt out.
We have a great school system in Camdenton and our grateful. We wish to keep it as safe, respectful and as morally decent as possible.
