It got a little closer than most expected, but Camdenton was able to hold on for a victory against School of the Osage on Saturday in the final game of the Shootout at the Lake.

Down 17 at halftime, it looked like the Indians were on the ropes. But a 19-9 third quarter surge brought them back in the game.

With 5:30 left to go in the game, they got within four, but that's as close as they'd get with the Lakers winning 58-48.

Levi Calvert was named the game's MVP with 16 points and 9 rebounds. He and teammate Alex Fowler (13 points, 8 rebounds) were a little much for the perimeter-oriented Indians to handle.

Osage did get a great performance from G/F Al Mistler, who scored a game-high 21 points, including four 3-pointers.

With Osage creeping up in the second half, the Lakers used great free-throw shooting to help keep the gap. They knocked down 14-of-18 shots at the charity stripe in the second half, including 13 of their first 14.

Calvert and Fowler were joined in double figures by Michael Civitate with 11.

Mistler got help from Dylan McNerney, who netted 10 for Osage.
