The 9th annual Shootout Golf Tournament will be held August 20 at Old Kinderhook. Registration and lunch is at noon with shotgun at 1 p.m. Awards will follow the tournament.

Traveling League A senior traveling league is playing 15 different golf courses in Mid-Missouri, bi-weekly on Mondays for 16 weeks a year. The cost to play is $25. Guys N Gals Golf Play some of the best Mid-Missouri golf courses with the guys n gals golf card. Play four rounds of golf at 16 different golf courses from Boonville to Lebanon. Cart fee is $25. Proceeds from the cards support scholarships/funding for sports activities at local school districts.

For the Children Tournament
On August 18 the annual For the Children Golf Tournament will be held at Old Kinderhook. Lunch and flight registration is at 11:30 a.m. with the shotgun at 1 p.m. Cost is $800 per team or $200 per individual and includes a commemorative golf polo, goodie bag, door prizes, lunch and dinner. A free craft beer tasting will be held at 6:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner and awards ceremony. The dinner is free for golfers or $15 for guests.
All proceeds go to fund education/recreation supplies and equipment, behavioral healthcare program materials, facility renovations and updates, supplemental service fees, service delivery aids and mental health services for children and families

The first Porto Cima Golf Tournament benefitting the Missouri Forget Me Not Horse Rescue and Sanctuary will be August 21. Cost is $150 per player to enter the 18-hole four-person scramble. The Oaks at Tan-Tar-A Resort will host the annual Two Man Invitational Golf Tournament August 26 and 27. Cost is $350 per team. Practice rounds will be held on Friday with eight flights, 16 teams per flight participating in Saturday’s tournament. More than $30,000 in prizes for a full field.

The 31st annual Laker Invitational will be held September 4 at The Oaks Golf Course in Osage Beach. The tournament is sponsored by the Laker Athletic Boosters to benefit the Camdenton R-3 athletic programs. Entry deadline is August 31. The 37th (and final) Ozark Invitational will be held at Lake Valley and Old Kinderhook September 8-10. The Friday and Saturday rounds are at Lake Valley at 8:30 a.m. The Sunday round is at Old Kinderhook Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $290 per person and includes prize money, three days of golf with carts, the skins game and range balls.

Lahay Memorial Golf Tournament
The 32nd annual Lahay Memorial Golf Tournament will be held September 9 and 10 at the Rolling Hills Country Club. Entry is $75 for members with a private cart, $95 for members without a private cart; or $120 for non-members. The event benefits The Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Missouri. The 18-hole, four-man scramble will be held each day. An optional two-person pick your partner scramble event - par 3 will be held. Entry fee is $15 plus cart for $10 if needed. This event is 18 holes starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday with the golf course modified to play all holes as par 3’s.

The 11th annual Hope House Golf Classic will be held at the Eldon Golf & Country Club September 23. The four-person scramble will start at 9 a.m. Entry is $100 per person or $400 for a team of four.
