We love the quirky - and free - entertainment of the Missouri State Fair. Where else could you go in this day and age and see a trampoline show?

1. Missouri Grown

You can get great dinners and support Missouri farmers by eating at Missouri producers’ buildings. The highlight of any trip to the state fair has to include ice cream from the Gerken Dairy Center, the state dairy farmers’ building. While enjoying this creamy cold bliss, check out the butter sculpture and catch a milking demonstration.

2. Quirky Shows

We love the quirky - and free - entertainment of the Missouri State Fair. Where else could you go in this day and age and see a trampoline show? Flippenout’s Extreme Trampoline Show will perform thrice daily outdoors west of the Agriculture Building. Pig racing is one of the fair’s classic free events.

3. Live Music of All Kinds

The big name concerts are fun, but the state fair is a great opportunity to get in touch with Missouri’s roots. Bluegrass is a slice of our heritage as well as our future. Different groups will be featured on various stages around the fairgrounds.
