Carol Anderson, professional artist and resident of Camdenton, submitted the “Best of Show “entry titled, “Thumbs Up”. It is a painting of her daughter, Robin Stone, and her two skydiving instructors in the air on her last skydiving lesson.

The 39th Annual Palm Sunday Art Show featuring 27 area artists was hosted by the Lake Ozark Christian Church and sponsored by Bill’s Art Center and Gallery and the Lake Arts Council on April 8 and 9. The two categories, Amateur and Professional were judged by Reverend Gary Mitchell in a blind judging process.

Carol Anderson, professional artist and resident of Camdenton, submitted the “Best of Show “entry titled, “Thumbs Up”. It is a painting of her daughter, Robin Stone, and her two skydiving instructors in the air on her last skydiving lesson. The photograph was taken by a third instructor. According to Anderson, her daughter often jokes about how she left finger prints on the plane and had to be pushed out by the instructors.

Anderson considered herself to be an artist as a child and art was a big part of her school days extracurricular activities. She enjoys painting in many media such as oils, watercolors, colored pencils, pen and ink, and pastels, to name a few. She has been an instructor for 35 years and is well known for her portraits. She may be contacted at 573-873-5831.
