An abandoned fitness center on Passover Road will spring to life soon when Get Air Osage Beach Trampoline Park opens, offering hundreds of square feet of trampolines, fun zones, foam pits, ninja warrior challenges and more.

There will be jumping, tumbling, leaping, running, climbing, diving, summersaults, twists, giggles and

screams. Special jump socks are available for a small price to enhance the experience.

The Osage Beach park, located at 1075 Passover Road, is one of dozens of Get Air Parks with locations across the United States and in Japan, Mexico, Canada and Thailand. Get Air was founded just three years ago in Roy, Utah, and now has parks in 43 locations.

Primarily a series of side-by-side indoor trampoline courts, the facility also has a slam ball (basketball) court, a dodge ball area, a foam pit, a slackline/tightrope area, a swinging ladder, a ninja course, a stunt tower, a balance beam, a special needs area and a kiddie court -- all padded. And there's a separate area where kids -- under 46 inches in height -- can play to their heart's content. Wall-to-wall trampolines dominate the inside of the building, offering fun and fitness for people of all ages.

And if you have an inkling to surf, Get Air Osage Beach even has a simulated surfing experience with a bonafide surf board suspended on bungee cords.

The Osage Beach location is the first in Missouri, and local corporate manager Ryan Wicks says visitors can practice or expand their skills, or can just have a good time on more than a dozen different activities in the expansive building.

And taking a page from the world of YouTube, jumpers can critique their moves on huge flatscreen monitors through delayed-view recording devices scattered throughout the building. And for those of you who want to just sit and watch, or escape the mayhem of children -- and adults -- having fun, wi-fi is available for your personal digital devices.

Wicks said there are several special events planned such as Toddler Time, Teen Night, Family Night, and Special Needs Hour. There are opportunities for birthday parties, team building events and work parties. Military and family discounts are available along with special rates for special days. Rates are hourly

"We like to call the community our friends," Wicks said. "We really try to get involved in the community and with the residents."

Get Air lifeguards are certified in CPR, are corporately trained and drug tested.
