The Sunrise Beach Little Theatre will present a dinner theatre production of "Steel Magnolias" by Robert Harling at the Sunrise Beach Community Center in Sunrise Beach. The 12th Annual Haunted Hayride will take place Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24 at the Laurie Fairgrounds. The ride will start at dark and take you around the park with ghosts and goblins all along the way.

The Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters is hosting a trivia night Oct. 25 from 6-10 p.m. at the Osage Beach Elks Lodge on Highway 54. Entry fee is $20 per person. About six to eight people will sit at a table. Participants must be 18 years old or older to enter. There will be a food and cash bar on hand, as well as a silent auction that night.
