As temperatures cool and leaves begin to change around the lake area, you know the time has come for fall festivals. That means craft booths, pony rides and tractor pulls.
Here are the upcoming events you can expect at the Lake:
9th annual Osage Beach Fall Festival
DATE Sept. 12, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
LOCATION Osage Beach City Park, 850 Hatchery Road

WHAT TO EXPECT There will be food, arts and crafts, live entertainment and free kids activities, such as hay rides, train rides and carnival inflatables.
CONTESTS Osage Beach Bow Wow contest, where dog owners can enter their pets in to win in categories such as Cutest, Most Handsome, Best Dressed and Best Trick. Lake's Got Talent contest for amateur entertainers.
OTHER INFO There will also be an Alzheimer's Memory Walk and Silent Auction and YMCA's 5K Run/Walk which will start at the Osage Beach City Hall.
Kids Harbor Blues & BBQ
DATE Sept. 13, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

3rd annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest

WHAT TO EXPECT Organized group rides, Passport Stops, March of Dimes Bikers for Babies Ride on Saturday, free concerts.
CONTESTS Passport Run, participants get a passport-like booklet with 23 spaces to be stamped from various locations in the lake area, including retail stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues.
OTHER INFO Concerts will be at the Toad Cove Entertainment Complex in Lake Ozark. Bands: Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band Edge of Forever, ZZ Top tribute band Eliminator and Head East.
22nd annual Mountain Man Rendezvous and Muzzleloader Shoot
DATE Sept. 18-20
LOCATION Silver Star Campground, below Bagnell Dam
WHAT TO EXPECT There will be anvil shoots, French artillery re-enactors and Trader's Row, a marketplace setting with traders, trappers, gunsmiths, artisans and storytellers, and Farmer's Market.
ADMISSION Adults $5, Free for those under 15 with a paid adult admission.
CONTESTS Men and women will have the chance to compete in black powder shoots, tomahawk- and knife-throwing contests, and fire-starting contests.
OTHER INFO Festival workers will be wearing era-appropriate attire from the early 1800s.
40th annual Hillbilly Fair
DATE Sept. 18-20
