Apheresis machine utilized at Kent Memorial blood drive

According to the American Red Cross, this machine separates the blood into different portions. A selected portion can be then taken while returning the rest of the blood to the donor.

The Lake Arts Council will present the Lake Community Organ and Piano Concert at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach on Sunday, June 28 at 3 p.m. The organ concert was first organized in 1996 and has continued sporadically since then.

AARP Driver Safety Course planned for Camdenton this month

Formerly called 55 Alive, the course was developed by AARP to assist seniors in recognizing and compensating for age related physical changes, sharpening driving skills, preventing accidents, and keeping older drivers on the road longer and more safely.

Staff Sergeant Ryan Green of Rocky Mount was awarded top honors by the 18th Airborne Corps commander in a ceremony at Fort Bragg’s Memorial Hall. Green was awarded the 18th Airborne Corps Noncommissioned Officer of the Year.
