The fifth annual Miss Lake of the Ozarks Scholarship pageant was held at School of the Osage Saturday, Oct. 29.  Jeni Dixon was crowned Miss Lake of the Ozarks 2012.  Dixon is a 21 year old senior at Evangel University where she will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Counseling this December.  Dixon walked away with a $1,000 scholarship and will advance to the Miss Missouri pageant in Mexico, Missouri this June where she will compete for a chance to win $10,000 in scholarship and the opportunity to contend for the Miss America title. Dixon performed an instrumental-Marimba to ‘The Flight of the Bumblebee’ and ‘Sway’. She will share her platform of ‘Awareness and Prevention of Skin Cancer’ throughout the Lake area this year.  
Savannah Moore was crowned Miss Lake of the Ozarks Outstanding Teen.  Savannah is a 15 year-old freshman from Lebanon High School, who will also go on to compete at the Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen pageant also held in Mexico, Missouri, this June.  Moore performed a song and dance to ‘Don’t Rain on My Parade”.  She will promote her platform of ‘Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness’.
The Miss Lake of the Ozarks Scholarship pageant is a local Miss America preliminary and is directed by Wendy White and Ashley Kile.  For more information about competing or sponsoring visit  www.misslakeoftheozarks.org.
