Osage Beach BBQ contest held to aid neglected horses

Wanted: Area grill masters for a BBQ Contest Sunday, Oct. 23, at The Tailgate Party in Osage Beach to raise funds to help rescue abused, neglected and abandoned horses.
Forget-Me-Not Horse Rescue & Sanctuary is sponsoring the BBQ Contest, a silent auction, pony rides and other activities to help raise funds for the care and rehabilitation of the horses.
Grilling starts at 7 a.m. with judging at 2 p.m.
Cost to the public for the events is $6.
There is a $60 per team entry fee, and meat must be provided by the participants.
