The Golf Channel Amateur Tour made a stop at The Lodge of Four Seasons for the first ever Lake of the Ozarks Golf Classic; one of the Tour's ‘Major’ tournaments on April 21- 22, 2012. The Lodge hosted the two-day event at The Cove and The Ridge with 180 players from 25 different states and Canada.
Being prepared for an emergency is still on the minds of officials in the Village of Four Seasons.
Firefighters from the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District responded to the Lodge of Four Seasons on Horseshoe Bend this morning for a report of smoke filling the fourth floor atrium near the Granada Ballroom. Automatic agency assistance was automatically toned out, but called off shortly after.
The Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance (LOWA) will hold its monthly meeting tonight beginning at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is at the Country Club Hotel and Spa located on Carol Road in Lake Ozark.
Lake of the Ozarks will still see more rain today and into Sunday as a supercell thunderstorm moves through the area.
Isolated to widely-scattered thunderstorms are possible through this afternoon. The main threat with these storms will be frequent lightning strikes, brief heavy rainfall and possible hail up to the size of nickels.
Wind speeds are expected to be in the 15 to 25 mph range, according to National Weather Service out of Springfield meteorologists, with wind gusts up to 35 mph. These winds will create hazardous boating conditions on area lakes.

A statewide rule protecting utility company customers from disconnection when the temperature dips below freezing is in force effective today.
The Missouri Public Service Commission’s Cold Weather Rule runs from Nov. 1 to Mar. 31, 2012. The rule prevents investor-owned utilities from cutting off service during the winter months when the termperature drops below 32 degrees.
The Cold Weather Rule relates to any residential gas or electric service that is necessary to the proper function and operation of heating equipment.
