Lake area teams in both Class 5 and Class 3 will see some different opponents in district play this season.
Class 5
The Lakers will still have Rolla and Waynesville in the district, but Lebanon moved out with Sedalia Smith-Cotton taking the place of the Yellowjackets.Smith-Cotton went 8-2 last season, but didn't make the playoffs, as both their losses came in district play.
The district schedule for Camdenton next season will be as follows: home vs. Smith-Cotton, at Rolla and home vs. Waynesville to finish the season.
Camdenton will still have one non-conference game on the schedule before districts, which they will play during the first week of the season, at Nixa.
They will still play Lebanon, in Ozark Conference play, during the third week of season, when they play their home opener.
The addition of Smith-Cotton means the Lakers will not play one OC team this season. Unfortunately for Camdenton, that team will be Glendale – a program currently in rebuilding mode.
Class 3
The trio of lake area schools in Class 3 – Osage, Eldon and Versailles – will not all be in the same district this season, as Osage has moved out of the group.
Eldon and Versailles will be joined by California again, with Boonville replacing Osage. Boonville went 7-3 last season, but did not make the playoffs.
Osage will move into a district with Owensville, St. James and Salem. Salem, at 7-4 in 2009, was the only team of that group that finished above .500.
