The preliminary draft of Camden County's Master Plan is now available for residents to view and leave their comments about.

The Planning and Zoning Department, along with MACTEC engineers, have been drawing up this draft for several months, attempting to address the county's infrastructure, transportation and community development issues.

Now, they say it is time to hear from the residents about those plans, feedback that will allow them to tweak and enhance areas that are perhaps lacking and figure out the best course of implementation.

The group's mission for this project is to "establish a clear vision of the kind of place the lake area community wants to be in the future, and it will provide a course of action to implement what stakeholders envision. The plan will serve as a policy guide on how Camden County's Lake Area should develop over time, which includes a Future Development Map and an Implementation Plan."
