Four people were injured and two flown by helicopter to the hospital after a head-on collision  Monday afternoon on Route 52 west of Route AA near Barnett.


According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, an eastbound 1997 Toyota Tundra pickup driven by Mark A. Tichenor, 51, of Sunrise Beach, crossed the center line and struck a westbound 1988 Chevrolet 1500 pickup head-on.


Tina M. Baily, 25, of Versailles, the driver of the Chevrolet, received serious injuries and was taken by Staff For Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo.


One-year-old Kamora Smith of Barnett received moderate injuries and was also flown to University Hospital. Bradford M. Smith, 27, of Barnett, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.


Tichenor sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
The report says Kamora Smith used a safety device, the other three subjects did not.
