A couple weeks ago I penned an article, 'VP & Cabinet Picks Will Reveal the Real Trump'. I summarized my article by saying:
'If Trump selects anyone who supports any part of the globalist agenda like 'free trade' or 'open borders', he's a fraud. If he selects anyone associated with globalist organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), Trilateral Commission or Bilderberg Group, he's a fraud. It's that simple.'
Well it appears we can start vetting the presumptive GOP presidential candidate, Donald J. Trump for who he really is and what kind of administration his will be assuming he's elected president of the United States this November.
It also appears Ann Coulter's July 6 article, 'My VP Prediction: Trump's First Mistake' was not only timely, but prophetic (http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2016-07-06.html#read_more). Coulter writes:
'My vice presidential prediction is: Trump is about to make his first mistake. I knew this would happen as soon as he hired campaign consultants, rather than relying on his gut. If these campaign consultants were any good, their first piece of advice to Trump would be, 'Fire us immediately!'.'
Coulter continues:
'Trump's advisors are undoubtingly telling him he's got the 'outsider' image covered. He needs someone with experience in Washington – as if presidents don't have staffs – an elected Republican official with solid standing in the GOP, preferably a sitting senator or governor, who will give the ticket gravitas and heft.'
'This is completely wrong. Trump isn't a standard-issue GOP, trying to balance the ticket to get his party into power. He's starting a new party! He's just blown up the old GOP. Instead of a party for, by and of globalist plutocrats, the new 'Trumpian Party' is a party of Americans for America.'
Ann's insight and my litmus test for candidate vetting were right. Indeed Trump made his first HUGE mistake by allowing GOP 'establishment' hacks talk him into choosing Governor Mike Pence (R-IN) as his VP running mate.
As a 'career politician', Pence served 6 terms (2000-2012) in the U. S. House and is completing his first term as Governor; up for re-election this fall. And his weak polling makes him a politician in need of a new job. Sadly, like most 'establishment' politicians, Pence is another attorney (just what we don't need).
But the most negative aspects of Mike Pence are that he's a neoconservative and globalist. This will most certainly be awkward for Trump considering he became the GOP's 'top dog' by railing against neocon interventionist foreign policy, and globalist driven open borders and bad trade deals.
Mike Pence on Foreign Policy:
Clearly, Pence is a neoconservative. He voted for the Iraq War and a subsequent resolution declaring Iraq part of the 'War on Terror' with no exit strategy. Further, Pence has supported the endless 'War on Terror' and nation building.
Pence's support of Syrian sanctions facilitating a civil war to take down President Bashar al-Assad is especially irresponsible as it is destroying the country. His long history of supporting interventionist foreign policy invariably destabilizes governments and opens doors for worse terrorist groups to arise, such as ISIS.
However to his credit, Pence voted against deploying troops out of Iraq to prevent 'mission creep'. Also to his credit, he voted against deploying forces in Libya without securing congressional approval first; something our Constitution requires.
Mike Pence on Trade & Borders:
While in Congress, Representative Pence consistently voted for globalist 'free trade' legislation including: HR 1830 Andean Trade Preference Act Extension, HR 2738 U. S. – Chile Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act, HR 2739 U. S. – Singapore Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act, HR 3005 Fast Track Trade Authority Bill, HR 3009 Andean Trade Preference Act Extension, HR 3045 CAFTA Implementation Bill, HR 3078 Trade Promotion Agreement with Colombia, HR 3079 Trade Promotion Agreement with Panama, HR 3080 Free Trade Agreement with Korea, HR 3688 U. S. – Peru Trade Agreement and HR 5684 U. S. – Oman Free Trade Agreement Implementation.
The Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) signed into law under Bush Jr. in 2005 was a broadening of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) promoted by globalists like former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and President Bill Clinton. NAFTA devastated American manufacturing and paved the way for another bad deal, Free Trade of the Americas (FTAA).
The Fast Track Trade Authority is terribly disconcerting as it provides unconstitutional powers to the president when negotiating international agreements. Although Congress can approve or deny, they cannot amend or filibuster. This violates Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution where Congress is responsible for legislation and setting trade policy instead of the president.
Next Pence endorsed the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) which is really bad for America. As Trump said last fall on Fox, 'It was designed for China to come in, as they always do, through the back door and totally take advantage of everyone.'
Finally, 'open borders' Pence had a notable immigration scheme – mass legalization (amnesty?) for low cost migrants if they went home first with any employer request bringing them right back. Sounds like a perpetual screwing of the American workforce by Pence and his pals at the globalist Chamber of Commerce.
Unless Mike Pence had a recent 'uh huh' moment, or Donald Trump had a 'Come to Jesus' with him insisting he abandon his neoconservative globalist ways, I don't see how a Trump-Pence 'relationship' can effectively work.
Fortunately, Pence isn't a member of the CFR, Trilateral Commission or a Bilderberg attendee. In the interim, I'm on the fence with Pence and also from Missouri – so show me Mr. Pence that you're an 'America First' running mate.
As Ann Coulter so eloquently said, 'Trump doesn't need a vice president from the party he's just buried.' Unfortunately Ann, he's just acquired one
