Angie Fiene, CADV Executive Director updated Kiwanis members recently on the variety of programs that protect abused women, men and children in Camden County.
Last year CADV provided first time services to 381 women, 9 men and 146 child victims of domestic and/or sexual violence, bednights of safe shelter.
Checks totaling $4000 from Kiwanis & Christmas for Kids were presented to help support the day to day expenses of CADV.
CADV/VOC provides a variety FREE and CONFIDENTIAL services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. Some of these include:
• 24-hour Hotline answered by qualified trained staff or volunteers
• Crisis Intervention for individuals
• Safe shelter provides emergency housing and support services for women & children
• Hospital Advocacy with Lake Area Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
• Court Advocacy provides information, support, assistance, accompaniment and intervention with any aspect of the civil or criminal legal system
• Crime Victims Compensation provides assistance in filing for compensation
