October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and throughout the month, Paul's Supermarket will be participating in the Purple Ribbon Campaign for Citizens Against Domestic Violence.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and throughout the month, Paul's Supermarket will be participating in the Purple Ribbon Campaign for Citizens Against Domestic Violence. The Purple Ribbon Campaign is being held at all three Paul's Supermarket locations where staff will sell purple ribbon cards at the cash register. Anyone who makes a contribution will receive a purple ribbon card and will be added to the wall of donors. Stop by the Eldon, Lake Ozark or Osage Beach location to purchase a ribbon.

CADV/VOC is a not-for-profit organization that offers various services including a 24-hour hotline, support groups, crisis intervention, food, shelter, advocacy and support to victims of domestic and sexual violence. They serve men, women and children in Miller, Morgan and Camden counties.

So far in 2014, CADV has seen an increase in sexual assault cases and new domestic violence victims in need of assistance. In addition, CADV volunteers and staff have assisted 281 new victims of domestic violence, 413 ongoing victims, answered 295 hotline calls for help, provided 2,217 bed nights, among many other services.

Golf Tournament: The 15th annual Bogeys and Beer Golf Tournament will be held at The Oaks at Tan-Tar-A Resort on October 13. Cash prizes and 18-hole proxies. Shotgun start is at 11 a.m. with 10 a.m. registration and box lunches provided by Mexicali Blues. A dinner and awards program will follow the tournament with a silent auction and entertainment by Dale Blue. Several sponsorship packages are available. A team of four is $340. Proceeds go to the Lamb House, Kids’ Harbor and CADV.

Annual Brunch: The 13th annual Citizens Against Domestic Violence Brunch will be October 15 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at The Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark. Sponsors are still needed. The theme this year is "Favorite Vacation Destination." Tickets are $20 each. Don't forget to decorate your table to this year's theme. A record number of participating restaurants are planned to be there.

A $500 Gold Sponsor will receive a table at the brunch (eight tickets), recognition in pre-event promotions, prominently displayed at the event with a logo and recognition as a Gold Sponsor, and in post-event releases to local media.

A $250 Silver Sponsor receives four tickets to the event, business name will be recognized at the brunch and on signage, and in post-event releases to local media.

A $100 Business Sponsor will receive two tickets to the brunch, business name will be recognized at the brunch and on signage at the event, and in post-event releases to local media.
