  • The Lake of the Ozarks West Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday that Karie Maasen has resigned as executive director.
    On behalf of the board of directors, President Brandi Peterson thanked Maasen for the time and commitment she has dedicated to the Lake West Chamber.
    "As a past board member, President, and the current Executive Director, Karie has given her all to the Chamber," Peterson commented in a press release. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, E.D. Maasen has announced the resignation of her position. We wish Karie the best of luck in her future endeavors and look forward to working with her in her various roles with the Chamber."
    Earlier this year, Maasen had recently replaced Mike Kenagy as executive director after he moved on to a job with the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association.
    Maasen is the owner and operator of Budget Blinds in Laurie and has previously served on the board of directors of the Chamber including as board president.
