  • With school back in session, the Eldon chapter of the Future Farmers of America is back to a full slate of events.
On Thursday, Aug. 28, the Eldon FFA hosted its annual Greenhand Parent Night for the 2014-2015 school year. Approximately 150 greenhands and parents were in attendance. This event is designed to get all the new parents on track for the upcoming school year with how the FFA/Agriculture Education program works and all the activities that their student can be involved in during the year. This activity also is a way to bridge the communication gap so parents will know what is going on and if they have questions how to get ahold of the advisors.
On Saturday, Aug. 30, the Eldon FFA Alumni hosted its first Truck/Tractor Pull at the Miller County Fairgrounds. Pullers from all across mid Missouri lined up to see who had the stoutest truck/tractor that could move the sled the farthest down the track.
