  • More than 90 warnings were given to boaters during two safe boating operations were held on Lake of the Ozarks over the Labor Day weekend. 
     
    The Missouri Highway Patrol's Water Division held two operations, one on Aug. 30 and the other on Aug. 31. 
     
    On Aug. 30, 21 vessels were stopped and 35 warnings where given out. Two individuals were arrested on boating while intoxicated charges while one careless/imprudent summons, four marine equipment summons and one marine moving summonses were given out. One property damage crash was reported and two calls of service were made. 
     
    The next day, Aug. 31, 21 vessels were also stopped. Officers gave out 63 warnings, made three BWI arrests, two misdemeanor warrant arrests and one other felony arrest. One careless/imprudent summons was given out and eight marine moving summonses were given out. One injury crash was reported and four calls for service were made. 
     
    While officers were checking boaters, other officers were conducting  a driving while intoxicated checkpoint in Camden County on Aug. 29 and a driving while intoxicated saturation on Aug. 30.   
          
    During the DWI checkpoint, three DWI arrests were made, one hazardous moving summons and one suspended/revoked driver's license summons were given out along with one warning. A total of 196 vehicles were stopped. 
     
    A total of 22 vehicles were stopped during the DWI saturation. During the saturation, two DWI arrests were made and two felony warrant arrests were made. Two speed summonses along with one seat belt summonses were given out. Two suspended/revoked driver's licenses summonses were also given out. Officers also made two stranded motorists checks.
