  • Kids’ Harbor’s Homemade Boat Races will be held Sept. 7 from 1-5 p.m. at Captain Ron's in Sunrise Beach.

  • Kids’ Harbor’s Homemade Boat Races will be held Sept. 7 from 1-5 p.m. at Captain Ron's in Sunrise Beach.
    Get your homemade boat ready and enter. Prizes will be awarded for Most Creative Boat, Most Money Raised and for the fasted racers in each category. All racers must wear a USCG approved flotation device at all times. Entry fee is $25.
    Kids' Harbor is a child advocacy center serving the Lake of the Ozarks area, Fort Leonard Wood and surrounding areas. They assist victims of child abuse and their non-offending family members as they make their way through the process of a child abuse investigation.

    Categories
    Homemade Boats: Crafts cannot be built on or added to any type of existing hull. Capacity is 1-4 people only. May only be powered by people or wind (no motors).
    Inflatable Race: Bring your favorite family-friendly inflatable water toy and race it around the course.
    Paddle Boat Races: Two-person teams. Paddle Boats will be provided on site.
    Canoe/Kayak Races: Homemade or store bought.
    Stand-up Paddle Boards: Bring your own or use the boards provided at the races.
