  • Only four days into the school year, one Eldon School Resource Officer observed an inappropriate sight near one of the district's buildings.
On Tuesday, August 19 around 2:34 p.m., school resource officer Larry Bowling was patrolling the middle school campus and observed a male subject get out of a pick up truck parked on the north side of the school in full view of school buses and students and proceed to drop his pants and urinate in the parking lot.
The subject ignored requests made by the officer and got into the truck and began rummaging around the front seat. Bowling then ordered the subject out of the truck at gunpoint.
The man got out of the vehicle but continued to ignore the officer's commands. Another officer arrived on the scene and the subject was arrested and placed in a patrol car.
The subject was transported to the Miller County Jail and is being held on a Probation and Parole violation. Officers are applying for warrants through the Miller County Prosecutor for driving while revoked, driving while intoxicated,  littering and possession of an open container of alcohol.
Eldon Superintendent Matt Davis sent a message to parents Tuesday afternoon to let parents know an incident occurred and that officers handled the situation.
The name of suspect was unavailable at press time as charges were pending.
