  • The 18th annual Ellis Fischel Gala will be held Saturday, August 23 at the Lodge of Four Seasons.
This year's theme is "A Summer Celebration" features entertainment by The Company Men.
A Pre-Gala VIP Party will be held Friday, August 22 in the Granada Ballroom at the Lodge of Four Seasons.

Registration and the silent auction opens at 5 p.m. with the dinner and program at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person.

The gala will begin at 5 p.m. with a silent auction, followed by dinner and
entertainment by the Company Men, a group of musicians whose performances combine
timeless music from the past six decades with today’s hits.

“The gala is the largest fundraising initiative for Ellis Fischel,” said Paul Dale, M.D.,
medical director of Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, chief of surgical oncology and Margaret
Proctor Mulligan Distinguished Professor in Medical Research. “A cancer diagnosis touches
many lives, but the support of the community through this event has helped improve the
lives of cancer patients throughout the state.”

Since 1997, the gala has raised more than $1.5 million toward research, medical
equipment and infrastructure that benefit cancer patients, including the Ernest and Eugenia
Wyatt Guest House and a mobile screening vehicle offering mammography and prostate
    screening services.

Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Ellis Fischel Cancer Center’s
mammography fund, which provides breast cancer screenings to those who are uninsured
and are not eligible for any state or federal programs. Proceeds also will benefit the Ellis
Fischel Gala and the Brown Family Healing Garden, an outdoor space offering patients a
    serene area for reflection.
