  • The Sunrise Beach Little Theatre’s fall dinner theater production this year will be “Rex’s Exes.” This deliriously funny Southern-fired comedy is a sequel to the last fall’s popular farce “The Red Velvet Cake War."
This year’s play, also by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, will find the Verdeen cousins of Sweetgum, Texas once again teetering on the brink of disaster. Open auditions will be held on Sunday, August 17, starting at 3 p.m. at the Sunrise Beach Community Center on Highway 5 in Sunrise Beach.
A minimum of three men and eight women will be casted in this production which will run Thursday through Saturday nights with a matinee on Sunday, October 23 to 26, with the possibility of one additional performance earlier that week. Auditions are open to anyone interested in trying out. No previous experience or knowledge of the play is necessary. Those who are not interested in being on stage will find many opportunities for involvement.
The Sunrise Beach Little Theatre is always looking for volunteers to work backstage, build sets, work in the kitchen, take tickets and other tasks.
