Hundreds of students attending Camden County school districts participate in the Back to School Fair each year to get the necessary supplies needed for the school year. Hosted by the Camden County Child Advocacy Council the fair allows families from Camdenton, Macks Creek and Stoutland to fill a backpack with supplies.
Several collection days are being held to gather items for the fair held on August 7 from 2-7 p.m.
Child Advocacy has already collected a good amount of backpacks and are focused on receiving basic school supplies now. During the Back to school fair on August 7, students will receive some of the supplies they need for the year.
The supplies and sock and underwear vouchers provided by Child Advocacy will be handed out as a first come first serve basis during the fair. Volunteers are needed to help run the fair. To sign up, call 573-873-3531. Supplies can be dropped off at the Child Advocacy Thrift Store in Camdenton located at 77 Dawson Road. All donations are tax deductible.
