The recent article re the drowning of Mr. Ellingson provided some answers to questions raised in my letter in early June. Apparently the trooper had limited experience in water patrol practices. Per the report, regulations required the officer to place a life vest on the prisoner and then handcuff him.
The report states the investigation of this incident is ongoing. This begs the question of why the officer was returned to regular duty?
If the Russians really believed the rebels did not shoot down flight MH17, don't you think they would be doing everything possible to preserve the crash scene. That way the investigation would clear them of any complicity in the case.
I am trying to resolve the relevance of the statements made by the IDF following the bombing at the UN facility in Gaza. First they said it was a straying mortar round. Next they said no one was killed in the explosion but possibly some people could have been wounded by shrapnel.
Any one close enough to the explosion to be hit by shrapnel was close enough to be killed. The last statement I saw was that the IDF had video of the courtyard and it was empty.
If the video was taken before the explosion why did they have video of a place they had no intention of targeting.
